As you've seen I have been making paintings for my new etsy shop. Four eye paintings are finally done. I applied the gold and silver leaf this week, finished off the irises, and got them just the way I wanted them.

I have a lot of ideas for the shop. I want to make product I could never make with licensees; mystical, beautiful stuff that just never makes it to mass audiences. I think that's always where my heart has lain (lied?).

The eyes are part of the mystery end of things. I also have some floral paintings that are part of the beauty. I've realized that those are the two components I'm almost always going after in some way or another.

So tonight I did this postcard in oil pastel, some turpetine and colored pencil. I realized that these eyes are about vision, about being a seer and an artist. I hope they inspire whoever buys them to see themselves as seers and artists of their own life.
